Largest well-defined number named by Jonathan Bowers?[]

Is goppatothplex the largest well-defined number named by Jonathan Bowers? --84.61.161.148 18:48, May 18, 2014 (UTC)

"Well-definition" is a bit vague term here. Bowers didn't define an explicit ruleset past linear arrays, through he went up to hexational arrays by the intuition. Ikosarakt1 (talk ^ contribs) 18:56, May 18, 2014 (UTC)
The structures in tetrational arrays are intuitively defined and if someone wanted to they could formalize it (similar notations have been defined), but a problem comes at pentational arrays (how do you go from X↑↑X to X↑↑(X+1)?). Wythagoras says that {a,b(0,1)2} is clearly {a,a(b)2} but is not sure about {a,b(0,1)3}. I think that should be {a,a(b)2(0,1)2}. 73.235.194.108 14:52, April 2, 2017 (UTC)
[EDIT] {a,b(0,1)2} actually should be {a,b(b)2}. The wiki supports that equality, and it better matches up with Bowers' X-structures 73.235.194.108 23:34, April 4, 2017 (UTC)
