- For BlankEntity's Troogol, see trigintillion.
- Not to be confused with throogol.
- For MultiArrest91's definition, see Megoogol (MultiArrest91).
The troogol is equal to \(\{10,10,10,100\}\)[1] in BEAF, or \(10\lbrace\lbrace\cdots\lbrace\lbrace10\rbrace\rbrace\cdots\rbrace\rbrace10\) (100 pairs of \(\lbrace\rbrace\)) in Bowers's extended operator notation. It was coined by Chris Bird to continue the googol and boogol series. This number is comparable to Saibian's throogol.
Username5243 calls this number Megoogol (formerly Gigoogol), and it's equal to \(10[0,0,1]100\) in Username5243's Array Notation.[2]
Etymology[]
The name of the number is based on Latin prefix "tri-" and the number "googol".
Approximations[]
Notation | Approximation |
---|---|
Bird's array notation | \(\{10,10,10,100\}\) (exact) |
Hyper-E notation | \(\textrm E100\#\#\#100\) |
Chained arrow notation | \(100 \rightarrow_2 101\) |
Fast-growing hierarchy | \(f_{\omega^2}(100)\) |
Hardy hierarchy | \(H_{\omega^{\omega^2}}(100)\) |
Slow-growing hierarchy (using this system of fundamental sequences) | \(g_{\varphi(99,\omega,0)}(100)\) |

Note: The readers should be careful that numbers defined by Username5243's Array Notation are ill-defined as explained in Username5243's Array Notation#Issues. So, when an article refers to a number defined by the notation, it actually refers to an intended value, not an actual value itself (for example, a[c]b = \(a \uparrow^c b\) in arrow notation). In addition, even if the notation is ill-defined, a class category should be based on an intended value when listed, not an actual value itself, as it is not hard to fix all the issues from the original definition, hence it should not be removed.
