An undecillion is equal to 1036 in America, or 1066 in France and Germany.[1][2]

In the long scale, 1036 is called sextillion, which is commonly used in France and Germany.

This number is also called dodekillion in Russ Rowlett's Greek-based naming system.[3]

Aarex Tiaokhiao gave the name becillion, referring to the value of this number.[4]

Wikia user NumLynx gave the name duodecisand for this number's short scale value.[5]

CompactStar gave the name ennyriad for this number as part of the -yriad system, referring to it being myriad9.[6]

DeepLineMadom gave the name gobybunch for this number.[7]

1036 is also called Jian (澗,涧 in Chinese) or Kan (かん in Japanese)[8] in both Japanese counting system and Chinese counting system.

Examples[]

  • The volume of the Betelguese red giant is roughly 1.21 undecillion cubic meters.[9]
  • The electromagnetic interaction is around 1036 times stronger than gravity. The strong nuclear force is another 100 times stronger than that.
  • The prefix tenamega- multiplies by one undecillion.
  • A Russian court ordered Google to pay compensation to blocked Russian state TV channels, amounting to 2 undecillion rubles (20 decillion U.S. dollars).[10][11][12] The fee will double every week Google fails to pay it, meaning that it will enter duodecillion range in just nine weeks' time and $1 googol (100 googol U.S. dollars) in roughly 219 weeks.[12]
