In the spirit of the Lynz, PEGG, and the Clarkkkkson I have created my own dynamic googologism, which I dub "Missing No.".
Missing No. is equal to the highest natural number that when typed into the search bar of Googol images does not return at least one picture containing that number, in Hindu-Arabic numbers Since Google cannot contain an infinite number of pictures, Missing No. must be finite.
For those who want a strictly formal definition, (one that does not involve the subjectivity of images of numbers), consider the Formal Missing No.,(FMN for short), which is defined as the smallest number which when entered into the search bar of Googol images does not return any images.
The Bottom-Up Approach[]
Currently, Missing No. must be at least 1,000, as the following video contains images of all the numbers from 1 to 1,000, which may also be found on Google images. This cancels out the first 1,000 natural numbers as current candidates for the Google number. Let's see the corresponding pictures for numbers after 1,000 to see when they end. The next number after this is Missing No.
The Top-Down Approach[]
To calculate the current value of the Google No., it would perhaps be more efficient to enter in large numbers and then decrease them to see what the lowest number we can obtain that does not bring up an image is.
