I'm currently rewriting the policy for this wiki. You can find a draft of it at User:Hexirp/sandbox/Googology_Wiki:Policy.
First, I would like to clarify the division of roles between policies and guidelines. This is because I believe that the current policy is too detailed.
Secondly, I think it would be a good idea to lift the ban on using Googology Wiki blog posts as a source for articles altogether.
- This was a restriction to prevent people from creating large numbers of their own articles, but it has been easily circumvented by Google Site and others.
- Personal sites such as Google Site are difficult to keep track of changes, but Googology Wiki's blog posts keep track of all changes.
- Personal sites may contain inappropriate content, but blog posts here are subject to policy restrictions.
- I think it is unfair that personal websites and blog posts are not treated the same. In my opinion, blog posts are often better than personal sites. For example, p-shin daisuki bot's blog posts surpass those of other personal sites.
- We will encourage the development of this wiki by reducing the difficulty of getting people to list their own large numbers here on the wiki.
- Going further and banning personal sites as a new source may be an option.
