Wilfried Buchholz is a German mathematician.[2] He was born in Berlin on 1 April 1948, received his Ph.D. in 1974, and became a Professor at the Mathematical Institute of Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 1980.[3]
The Buchholz's function[4], the Buchholz hydra and the Takeuti-Feferman-Buchholz ordinal are named after him.
